In July Tara became unwell , she rapidly became very weak and dull , falling and stumbling . We took her to our vet who found her to be suffering from a high temperature . This persisted despite all treatments he tried . Full bloods were done , including thyroid , and they were all perfect . Her urine showed no infection and was clear . Heart , lungs and all organs were perfect as was her skin and coat . Eyes and ears normal .A full series of X-rays were done and they also showed no abnormalities , no neck or spinal problem. Our vets thought it may be a brain lesion or a protozoan infection of some kind . We had taken an engorged tick off her shortly before she became ill .Her appetite and weight remained normal , and no vomiting or diarrhoea .

Recently another dog Cody (litter mate) has showed similar symptoms to Taras , and is being treated by his vet .He has lost a lot of weight in the recent days and is very weak . We hope very much for a positive outcome for him and that the vets can treat him successfully. We are in regular contact with his owners to offer support .

Both parents of this litter continue well and have always been healthy and fit ,and are LPN1 tested . The lines are very well known and used in the UK producing beautiful Leos without any problems to our knowledge .We will however as responsible breeders be retiring the parents .
