Our stunningly beautiful girl Issa

Issa was our first Leonberger and what an introduction to the breed ! She is an absolute joy to live with .She has a coat of rich reddish hues with black tipping , beautiful black mask and very dark eyes .She is always being complimented on her pretty feminine head. Issa is a happy , fun-loving , energetic girl who loves to play football .She manages to grin , wiggle and bounce all at the same time . We nicknamed her ' Issa the kisser' for her love of kissing people and she can work magic on kids who are terrified of dogs and have them hugging her in a very short time

Issa gained 7 Green Stars under both Irish and International judges . She has had 3 litters of puppies , and was an excellent mother to them and passed on her wonderful character and looks to them all .
Issa was retired from breeding and spayed in August 2010 .She never had a days illness in her life .It was with great heartbreak that we had to save her from further suffering in October 2010 as she developed a fast growing Necrotic lipoma which invaded her organs and was inoperable . We miss her every day , and are happy that we have a part of this very special girl in her daughter Skye and Granddaughter Dior .

After a long break Issa came back in style to win her 6th green star and best of breed exc. grade under Judge Mrs E. Nielsen (Swe) Sligo CH show.

Open bitch 1st and Green Star. Issa is Celtic Winner 06.

1st and Best of Breed in the Hibernian Championship Show. Issa was awarded a Green Star by Judge N Lemo.

At Issa's very first show (St. Patrick's day Championship Show 2005) at just 8 months on the day she was awarded Green Star Bitch and very promising puppy (FCI) under Judge  Joe Kirk.
